Northampton, Massachusetts---Kent Whitney
has been appointed to the position of President and Chief Operating
Officer at Millitech, Inc.
Mr. Whitney has been instrumental in the growth of
Millitech for the past five years. His most recent position as Vice
President and Division Manager of the Millimeter Wave Products Division
has resulted in Millitech's position as a leader in the industry. |
Prior to this position Mr. Whitney was Corporate Vice President for
Business Development. His responsibilities included developing and
overseeing the implementation of the strategic plan that has lead to a
30% compounded annual growth in revenue over the past five years.
Prior to joining Millitech, Inc., Mr. Whitney spent twenty years at
Raytheon Corporation where his duties included RF Technical Director
and Program Manager for the SATCOM Division. In these positions he was
responsible for several multi-million dollar development and production
programs involving state-of-the-art satellite communication systems for
the United States Armed Forces. One of these programs received the
Senator Sam Nunn/Secretary of Defense William Perry national award for
excellence in program management. Mr. Whitney is a recognized leader in
the satellite communications industry employing millimeter wave
technology. Mr. Whitney is a graduate of the University of
Massachusetts in Amherst.
