Corporate HQ and MMW Facility

Millitech Corporate Headquarters and the Millimeter-wave Products Division reside in a 28,000 square foot building in Northampton, Massachusetts, that is designed for the development and production of millimeter-wave systems and components. This building is home to all corporate staff functions, quality assurance, program management, the machine shop, drafting suite, and several assembly and test labs.

Engineering

The facility includes extensive electronic test and development facilities, a CAD/CAE system for both mechanical and electrical computer-aided engineering and design. In-house software programs are utilized for electrical and millimeter-wave design, three-dimensional product definitions, and analyses.

Test Capabilities

Millitech's advanced test facilities are equipped for accurate and reliable measurement over the entire millimeter-wave spectrum including environmental and specialized test equipment for verifying compliance with commercial, military, and extraterrestrial standards. For specific commercial, space, or military applications, Millitech has facilities and the necessary equipment to permit real-life test in true application scenarios, including field testing and on-site verification of millimeter-wave systems.

Antenna Test Facilities

Antenna testing is performed in specialized millimeter-wave antenna test facilities, which are fully automated for rapid and accurate measurements. One chamber is equipped with a compact range to characterize antennas up to 600 mm in diameter at frequencies from 18 GHz to over 300 GHz. A second, larger compact range resides in a dedicated area to evaluate antennas up to 3 meters in diameter from 7 GHz to 110 GHz.

Machining

Millitech's Machining Department is a rapid response, rapid prototype shop that is capable of handling most metalworking operations. Using both manual and CNC machines, which utilize the most updated and innovative CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) software, the shop produces parts ranging in size from .010" (0.254mm) to 36" (91.44cm).

Quality Assurance

To ensure product integrity, Millitech has a Quality System registered to ISO 9000:2001 and AS9100:2004 Rev B. All measuring and test equipment is controlled by an ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 Calibration System. All electrostatic sensitive devices are handled, packaged and marked in accordance with MIL-STD-1686. Millitech also has the capability of soldering in accordance with ANSI/J-STD-001B and NASA Handbook 5300.4 (3A-2).
